Bluetooth The Device Of Every Device

All today have mobile phones, pcs, laptops, tablets, some have traffic devices,  some have security devices and many more. All these devices are having a device inside them called Bluetooth. This device is used to transfer data from one device to another wirelessly, in a specified range. When we have something in our phone and a friend of us wants to have that in his phone so we don’t have to upload that to internet for him and then ask him to download it or upload it to computer or some other device to transfer instead we use Bluetooth by just selecting the file and clicking send through Bluetooth and have it done.

 

We can transfer files through Bluetooth from phone to phone, phone to laptop, to tablet etc. This is perfect for transfer but slow to send or share big files like movies etc. however best and fully perfect for small file transfer.  Similarly we can control our PC or laptop from our smartphone. We often use Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to control our PC more easily. For listening music or to communicate free hand through phones we use Bluetooth Handsfree or headset.

What actually a Bluetooth device is?

Bluetooth is wireless file sharing system for short distances which uses Short wavelength UHF Radio waves in ISM band from 2.4 to 2.485 GHz. Mostly in mobile device the range given is 10 meters but its maximum physical range is 60 meters. This technology is also used for building Personal Area Networks (PANs) and can connect several devices at once. This is a Packet Based Protocol with having a master-slave structure. A master can communicate with seven slaves in a piconet (an ad-hoc computer network that uses Bluetooth technology). The data transfer is done in packets. However deep study is complicated and to write all structure and function article its difficult and takes time but yeah all that is available in Wikipedia. In this article I will discuss with about the cover story of the device.

Who Invented Bluetooth?

Bluetooth technology was invented by a telecom company Ericsson in the year of 1994. By the name Ericsson I remember those old big mobile phones of the 1998 to 2002, I myself used that old phones at that time here in Pakistan that phones were not so much abundant but in small quantity. Ericsson name reminds me that phones when I hear it.

Why the name Bluetooth?

This word Bluetooth is derived form the word Blatan. Blatan full name King HaraldBlatan or Harald Bluetooth who was the king of Denmark in 10^th century because he united Danish tribes to single kingdom and also began to Christianize the country.

What is the use of Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is widely used device in many other hand hold devices.

1.    One of its first and popular use is Bluetooth handsfree or headset. People call such headset just Bluetooth sometimes.

2.    For communication between near mobile devices.

3.    For wireless control of many devices like computer operating by mobile phone in new touch-smartphones.

4.    Bluetooth keyboards

5.    Wireless networking between near computer devices.

6.    PC input and output devices control.

7.    For synchronization and file transfer between two or more devices.

8.    Also in medical equipment, GPS receivers, traffic control devices, test equipment and bar code scanners.

9.    Security systems

And many more applications.

I want to share with you a small fact if you transfer some file from one phone to other phone and want to transfer another file from the receiving phone to some other device or phone, you can do it and it will not make the speed slow. However, Bluetooth is very good invention which made many small and big things easy for us.
